You may think the idea is weird at first but I can promise it tastes like the real thing and is delicious. In this recipe I walk you through step by step on how to turn a head of cauliflower into creamy mashed “potatoes”.
How to make mashed cauliflower
I promise it is easy. You want to first start off by picking out a beautiful head of cauliflower from the market. Rinse the cauliflower head and break off the steams and leaves. Take a knife and cut the steam off, then break the florets off using your hands. Place the cauliflower into a pot of water, make sure the water level is above the cauliflower. Put the heat on high and boil until a fork can easily poke through. Drain the water and grab your blender.

Once you have your blender place all of the cauliflower into it. Start to blend it, you may have to use a spoon or fork and press the cauliflower down. Once most of it is blended add the heavy cream, butter, and seasoning into the blender and continue blending until smooth and well mixed. You are all set after that! See? Wasn’t that so easy to make? Ingredients
- 1 large head of Cauliflower
- 2 oz Heavy Cream
- 2 oz Butter, softened
- 1 tsp Pink Salt
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
Instructions
- Cut the stem off of the cauliflower and break it apart.
- Put in a pot with water. The water should go just above the cauliflower.
- Boil for about 20 minutes on high until the cauliflower is soft and you can easily poke a fork through.
- Drain the water and add the cauliflower to a blender. Add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth and well combined.
