Keto Green Bean Casserole

How to make green bean casserole keto?
It is super easy to make keto. All you need is some dairy and bone broth. You can also omit the dairy and use coconut milk instead of the cream cheese and of course leave out the shredded cheese as well. Lets start by making the sauteed vegetables. The full directions are in the recipe card! Grab your favorite skillet and put the oil in the pan and heat on med/high. Once the pan is warm add your diced onions and mushrooms to the pan. You will want to cook them until the onions are translucent and the mushrooms start to get a little crispy.
How to make the creamy sauce for this recipe.
The sauce is probably the best part about the whole recipe. It is full of so much flavor and really makes this recipe. Once you have your sauteed vegetables and the green beans have been boiled and are ready to mix in. You will want to add the cream cheese, seasonings and bone broth to the skillet with the vegetables. Keep the heat the same and stir every few minutes. Once the cream cheese has melted you will want to stir until well combined and it looks creamy. Add the green beans into the skillet and mix well again.

Once you have sauteed the vegetables, cut and boiled the green beans and made the creamy delicious sauce it is time to put everything in your casserole dish. Spray some oil on your casserole dish and pour the skillet into the dish. Evenly spread the green bean casserole and layer some cheese on top. Bake the casserole for 15 minutes at 350 degrees F. Serve with your turkey and keto biscuits! Enjoy.

Keto Green Bean Casserole

Ingredients
- 12 oz (375g) Green Beans
- 8 oz (230g) Mushrooms
- 8 oz (230g) Onions
- 2 tbs Avocado Oil
- 8 oz Cream Cheese
- 2 cup (16oz) Bone Broth
- 1 tsp Pink Salt
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
- 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese, on top
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Cut the tips off of the green beans. Put them in a pot with water (water should go just above the green beans) and boil for about 20 minutes.
- Add the oil to a skillet add the mushrooms. Dice up the onions and add to skillet. Cook until the mushrooms and onions get soft.
- Add the cream cheese, bone broth, salt, garlic, and nutmeg to the skillet. Cook until the cream cheese is melted and stir. Let simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Add the green beans into the skillet. Mix well and put into a casserole dish.
- Bake for about 15 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Great dish. It will be a staple for green beans. The only question is the amount of bone broth – two cups of bone broth had the beans, onions and mushrooms swimming in liquid. I would recommend at least half the amount of the broth. Otherwise, perfectly delicious and keto friendly.
