Is cooking fish intimidating? It doesn’t have to be, I promise! This Garlic Butter Baked Salmon recipe is so easy to make and tastes amazing. If you are looking to impress the family, impress your friends, have a delicious meal for sinner or meal prep then this is the recipe for you.

I use to never cook fish, I thought that it would be impossible for me. When I learned to make it I found that it is so easy. You can cook fish by grilling it, baking it or frying it on a skillet. In this post I will be walking you through the easy steps to bake a salmon recipe.

How to grill salmon? It is super easy to grill salmon and I would recommend getting it with skin on. You can rub a lemon on the grill then lay the skin side down. Cook until almost done then flip to sear the top for a couple of minutes.

How to Make Garlic Butter Baked Salmon?

How to make garlic butter baked salmon is so easy. I will be showing you how to bake a salmon in this recipe. You can see the full ingredients and instructions in the recipe card at the bottom of this post.

  • Preheat the oven to 275 degrees F.
  • Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or foil. Drizzle the oil on the sheet pan.
  • Pat the fish dry with paper towels. Then lay the fish on the sheet pan skin side down
  • Dice the shallots into small pieces. In a mixing bowl combine the softened butter, lemon juice, dill, sea salt, shallots, and garlic cloves and mix together well.
  • Evenly spread the butter over the fish.
  • Put in the oven for about 30 minutes. You will want the internal temperature to be about 120 degrees F. Once done top with the capers and serve!
  • With this recipe we steamed some Bok Choy for a side. Steam until tender then add to the side.
  • Optional: Serve with a lemon wedge, some roasted broccoli, roasted cauliflower or cauliflower rice. Whatever sounds good to you! Enjoy!

Slow cooking fish will keep it juicy and not dry it out.
