Keto Banana Bread

This recipe is moist, delicious and will take you back to your childhood! You can have banana bread on the keto diet? YES you can! This Keto Banana Bread recipe is low carb and sugar free.

Bananas aren’t keto!? Wrong, there are no keto foods and you got to get that out of your head. There are real foods and there are processed foods. Bananas are real food and yes they are higher in carbs, but as long as you have them in moderation you can certainly eat them.

How to make Keto Banana Bread?

It is so easy to make this recipe. There are just a few steps to take to make this recipe. The full list of ingredients and instructions to make the recipe is in the recipe card below at the bottom of the post.

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9in bread pan with parchment paper.
  • Add the dry ingredients, almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, baking soda, xantham gum, cinnamon and salt into a mixing bowl and mix together well.
  • Melt the butter, add the erythritol and mix together and set aside.
  • Mash the bananas in a separate mixing bowl.
  • In a separate mixing bowl add the wet ingredients, eggs, vanilla extract and sour cream and mix together.
  • Add the banana and butter into the wet ingredients and mix together well.
  • Mix together the wet and dry ingredients together and mix together well.
  • Pour into the parchment paper lined bread pan and put in the oven and bake for about 45 to 60 minutes. Test it with a tooth pick by sticking it in the middle and when it pulls out clean its ready.
  • Let cool for about 10 minutes then slice and eat! Store in the fridge to keep fresh longer.

Can you have bananas on the keto diet?

The simple answer is yes. Bananas are high in carbs but if you put them in a baking recipe that makes several servings then it really breaks up the carbs. You can certainly still enjoy that delicious banana taste and stay low carb.
