Chicken Cordon Bleu
Chicken Cordon Blue has been one of my favorite meals since I was little. One of the recipes that I have always remembered how to make growing up. This is one of the first recipes I wanted to recreate, for a low carb diet. I love the juicy chicken with cheese and crisp on top! A great recipe for the whole family, that everyone will love.
Chicken Cordon Bleu is one of our favorite family meals. This recipe is easy and something the whole family can enjoy together. The juicy chicken with the creamy sauce and cheesy bites are incredible. Keep in mind that you may not eat all of the sauce so the nutrition facts may be less than the chart. This meal is so filling I could go a whole day without eating and be satisfied with just this. The sauce is so easy to make, and I know usually this recipe is made with cream of chicken or mushroom but I promise this sauce tastes way better! Plus, this recipe is full of fat and protein. It’s all around a great meal.
Chicken Cordon Bleu
Ingredients
- 4 Chicken Breasts
- 4 oz Cream Cheese
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 4 tbs Butter
- 1 tsp Pink Salt
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 Garlic Cloves (crushed)
- 2 oz Pork Rinds
- 1 large Egg
- 4 slices Deli Ham
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.Weigh out all of the pork rinds. I usually use my ninja blender. Crush them up until finely ground.Put the cream cheese, heavy cream, butter, and all of the seasonings into a sauce pan. Cook on low until well mixed. Be careful with the heat the heavy cream will boil over quickly!Cut the chicken breasts from one side until almost all the way through. You can also beat the breasts to make them more tender.Place the ham in the open chicken, as well as the cheese.Close the chicken breasts and roll them in the egg, then the pork rinds.Place each one in a baking pan.Pour the sauce all over the chicken and top with cheese.Bake for about 30 minutes. I place a thermometer in the chicken and set it to 165 degrees F. (we use)
